A legacy of sound and service
Formed in 1999, Amberley Pipes & Drums embodies the enduring spirit of Highland tradition within the heart of the Royal Australian Air Force community. Based at RAAF Base Amberley in Queensland, our band was established to foster harmony, discipline, and morale among service personnel, veterans, and the wider community.
Through the stirring sound of the great Highland bagpipes and drums, our members proudly uphold a musical legacy that strengthens connection, inspires ceremonial excellence, and honours those who serve. We are a volunteer pipe band dedicated to our craft and our community.

Harmonising with the community
Through our music, Amberley Pipes & Drums helps create moments of connection and reflection at community and commemorative events. We aim to enhance ceremonies with respect and tradition, bring people together, and contribute positively to the vibrant communities we perform for across South East Queensland.
Whether it's a local festival or a solemn remembrance, our performances are designed to add a meaningful atmosphere, fostering a sense of shared heritage and pride. We believe in the power of music to unite and inspire.

Our enduring commitment
If there's one thing we wish for you to remember about Amberley Pipes & Drums, it's that our band brings people together through music at important moments in community life. We support commemorative services, community events, and cultural occasions by providing music that adds meaning, respect, and atmosphere.
Whether performing at memorials, ceremonies, or public events across Brisbane, our goal is to honour tradition, support reflection and remembrance where appropriate, and create a sense of connection and pride within the communities we serve. We are more than just a band; we are a community pillar.
